"Institutions pay. People are free. Always." — The Banting Principle
Standing on the shoulders of a giant. For my children.
Independent research at the intersection of accommodation, technology, and justice. US operations based in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
MachenTagar Research Institute conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of accommodation studies, legal technology, veterans' transition, housing policy, and AI ethics. Our work spans fifteen academic disciplines — producing scholarship, forensic-grade tools, and open methodologies that serve practitioners, communities, and the public interest.
We exist to ensure that the tools and knowledge produced by research reach the people who need them — not just the institutions that can afford them.
US operations are conducted through MachenTagar Research Institute LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company licensed by MachenTagar IP Inc. (Canada). All IP held centrally in Canada; US entity operates under license across all fifteen disciplines.
Sir Frederick Banting sold the insulin patent for one dollar so that no child would die from a treatable disease. That act inspired everything we build here. When people face institutional barriers — tribunals they can't navigate, rights they can't enforce, systems designed to exhaust them into silence — we hand them the tools to fight back. Banting tore down the wall between medicine and the people who needed it. We tear down the wall between justice and the people who deserve it.
